Baby Harper

Just about 2 weeks ago, I published a post asking people to pray for Baby Harper. If you're at all interested, I recommend checking her story out... all I can say is that it has reminded me that prayer really does work. I have to admit I was a doubter when this all started, but click on te box below and check out where she's at today:

Awesome stuff.

100th Post!

This is my 100th post on this blog! :o)
I just stopped in to report that I lost the required pound this week and am on track for my goal to be 152 by March 16th. This is all despite the fact that my kids have been very sick all week and I've only left the house like 3 times - 2 of them to go to the doctors... weight loss has been hard cuz I haven't been on the treadmill or active at all - I've basically been cuddling sick kids all week. :o( But they are feeling better now, so as soon as I feel better too - I'm back to my walk/jogs.
I can do it!!

My Latest Secret

Okay, I have to share something with you that I feel kinda embarassed about, but at the same time, am excited about.
I'm a ninja.
heehee
okay, maybe not really - but I have decided to start practicing Ninjutsu with Trevor once a week. He is a 2nd degree black belt in Ninjutsu and for a couple of years, taught 2 nights a week - usually he had anywhere between 1 and 3 students - so it was just small. But in the past several months, for varying reasons, his students have all been forced to stop coming (one will come back, but is just out because of an un-related back injury right now).
So, Trev asked me if I'd go out to the "dojo" (which is our renovated garage) with him once a week. At first I did it just for him, but I have to tell you, after 3 or 4 times, I'm starting to have fun... yeah. And I'm starting to think that maybe I'll continue, and try to get better at it and stuff. Cuz its cool. Really cool.
So, here is a picture of me in my gi. They're not the most flattering of outfits, but whatever.
And, for your enjoyment, here is a little video of me practicing my forward rolls (you have to be good at rolls so that if someone throws you down, its not scary, and you can just roll out of it). We're also practicing side rolls and backward rolls (which you will not be seeing a video of for a long, long time).
At first my forward rolls were terribly awful, but Trevor wanted to take this video to show me that they're getting better. Hopefully one day, I'll be able to post a video for you of me actually doing some really good ones. :o)

Anyway, that is my funny confession for today... we'll see what becomes of my new interest... but for now, I'm enjoying it - and I even get 1 AP for it too!

Chocolate Vitamuffins

Um... have you heard of these things??? Yeah - only ONE point for an absolutely DElicious and delectable chocolate muffin that tastes much much more like a cupcake - even with a touch of brownie taste to it. They are AWESOME.
Did I mention they're only ONE point?? So, if you have one with 6 tablespoons of 95% fatfree coolwhip, 1/4 Cup of icecream and 2 TBSP of my carmel sauce - its a totally kickbutt brownie sundae for only...... FOUR points. Yeah... I'm in love.
(you can get them at Safeway in the frozen aisle - right between the frozen fruit and the eggos and stuff... they're expensive, but at this point, I don't even care. I totally thought they'd be disgusting when I heard about a 1 point muffin, but I was very wrong)

Tuesday Weigh In

Yes, I weighed in yesterday, and I lost 0.6 this week! And I'm impressed with that - because this week is my heaviest week of the month, if you know what I mean. Also, I started exercising this week and a lot of people don't show a loss the week that they start exercising, so I was satisfied with my 0.6.
Today I haven't been on the treadmill yet - William is sick - possibly with croup, the doctor thought - and so I've been busy with him and stuff - but I'm hoping to get on again soon cuz I'm actually starting to enjoy it (ahem) (i can't believe i just said that).
So, I now have 8.8 pounds to lose in 8 weeks - but I'm not worried, cuz I know I can do it.

See My Stickers??!!

Look at this!!!! I started this business on the 5th - and since then, 11 days out of 14 were where I wrote down my points and stayed within them (without flexpoints even) and the little stickers are for exercise, so 5 out of the last 7 days, I have also exercised!! Yay. I love stickers. They motivate me. (for now, at least!) So, I'll keep using them until they don't anymore, I guess.

On another note, my friend Shayne did this on her blog this morning, and so I thought I'd copy her:

Just a Few Things

Yesterday Kelly at Kelly's Korner gave birth to her first baby - a girl named Harper. But there were unexpected complications and if you are a praying kind of person, please remember this little baby today. You can read more at:

Also, just wanted you to know that I got up again yesterday to do the treadmill and then I've also already been on it today and I'm loving it. I think that maybe - just maybe - I'm losing weight this week! Hooray.
